¿Cuál será la forma en que Barcelona celebrará el fin del año 2023?

Barcelona will welcome 2024 with a fireworks party and a display of 470 drones on the Maria Cristina Avenue in Barcelona, led by Groupe F, directed by Christophe Berthonneau, which last year paid tribute to brotherhood at the same occasion. The New Year’s Eve show will feature 470 illuminated drones filling the sky of Montjuïc at a height of 250 meters, according to a statement released this Wednesday by the Barcelona Institute of Culture.

The New Year’s Eve party will be a tribute to Barcelona and its relationship with the sea, in a year in which the Catalan capital and its coastline will have prominence around the world, with the arrival of the America’s Cup in sailing.

The celebration will feature a pre-show before midnight, in which the New Year’s Eve party will begin with musical and lighting atmosphere throughout the Maria Cristina Avenue, as was done last year, where 120,000 people attended the show offered by the same company, Groupe F, specialized for 30 years in musical exhibitions with fireworks.

Due to the drought decree, the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc cannot be activated, although an immense ball of light raised to 75 meters high will preside over the party. Starting at 9:00 p.m., the music will start setting the mood and at approximately 11:00 p.m., the ball of light will be activated. At midnight, when the moment of the new year change arrives, the drones will draw the grapes in the sky.

After the chimes, twelve dry and highly effective fireworks will mark the twelve strokes that welcome the new year. Once the new year has entered, the “Desire Barcelona” show will begin, developed through a blend of technology, light, and fire.
