A fire in the forest of a village in Castellón forces the population to be confined.

An ongoing forest fire in the town of Toga in Castellón has led to the population being confined due to smoke, and the CV-20 road between the town and Torrechiva being closed, as reported by the 112 Valencian Community. The confinement was lifted at midday on Friday. The fire started in Toga around 5:20 a.m. with its 112 registered inhabitants, according to the National Institute of Statistics. Castellón is experiencing strong northwesterly wind gusts on Friday as reported by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). Three aerial units, two helitransported units, three forest units from the Generalitat, three fire brigade units from the Provincial Council, and two coordinating foremen have been dispatched to the area. Due to the fire, the population of Toga is under confinement due to smoke, and the CV-20 road between Toga and Torrechiva has been cut off. A Special Forest Fire Unit was established around 9:00 a.m. Shortly after 9:30 a.m., two more aerial units were added, bringing the total to five units operating in the area.
